All-Kenpo Karate Championships

By Bryan Hawkins

The ‘Legacy’ of Ed Parker is important. It is important to remember his enormous contributions to the martial arts, both technically and spiritually. I believe it is paramount that we Kenpoists of Ed Parker’s lineage stay united and as a people bring Ed Parker’s Kenpo System into the 21st Century with honor and accountability. As a means to this end, we began having Annual All-Kenpo Invitational Tournaments designed to specifically highlight our brilliant art of American Kenpo. On June 6, 1998, we will be hosting the seventh tournament of this kind. Southern California is truly the home of Ed Parker’s Kenpo and so it is appropriate that we hold this annual event in the Southland.

We would like to invite you, your students and fellow Kenpoists to come and join us for a day of friendly competition in a non-threatening environment that has proved to be both enjoyable and inspirational for students of all ages and rank. Come and share in the celebration of the heritage we are all so proud to be a part of - Ed Parkers Kenpo Karate!
