My Hero

By: Beatriz Kainoa, Age 10

I am writing my report on my father. He is my hero. I don’t think that heroes always have to do something courageous or accomplish something wonderful. To me a hero is a person who is loyal and honest, kind and respectful. That is why I picked my father to be my hero. I think that my father meets all of those characteristics. My father is my hero because he is loyal. What I mean by loyal is he doesn’t lie or put people down. He is also funny and honest. One time, a long time ago, someone dropped money on the ground by accident. My dad tried to tell him but he was gone by the time my dad could get a chance to tell him. Instead of keeping the money, he tried to give it back to the person. He finally did and became a hero to the man who dropped it. My father is a leader and hero. I can’t remember a time when he did the wrong thing. He has wisdom and knowledge. He is also great and loving. He is the best father and friend that I could ever have. My father is interesting and playful, fun and respectful. He is truly the best person and hero I could ever have. He has helped me through tough times. He is the best. He has also helped me through other times. My thoughts and feelings of my dad are many. Sometimes I get mad at him in my mind but I forgive. My feelings of him are very warm and happy. He to me is my hero.

I look at my dad as a truly good leader, a very good friend and also a very nice, loving, heart-warming parent. I know that he loves me and will always love me.

The end.
