From The President...

Years ago during the turbulent period that followed the passing of our founder Mr. Ed Parker, it was decided that myself along with some of my closest Kenpo compatriots would form a new and unique Kenpo organization. As one might guess, a great deal of thought and deliberation went into the basic structure and design of our new group. Our goal was to create an organization that was free from the negative elements such as political agendas, rank-mongering, constant monetary solicitation, etc that I had seen in other associations. Organizations that employ such tactics and display such traits show their underbelly of insincerity and in the end cause nothing but division among good Kenpoists.

The primary function of a governing body like our United Kenpo Systems is to bring people together and form a synergy from which springs even greater understanding of this phenomenon we’ve come to know as the martial art of Kenpo. The act of uniting good Kenpoists of common lineage and with common goals is what the United Kenpo Systems is primarily in existence for. There are indeed other reasons and functions, but none of them are as important as unification of Kenpoists. The bonds that are formed among our members constitute the very fabric of our art. These bonds of friendship and camaraderie are ones that will last a lifetime and create legacies that will continue long past our own years on this Earth and will be perpetuated by our students and their students and beyond.

This September 20, 21, and 22, we will be celebrating our 9^th Annual West Coast Training Camp. It is the highlight and hallmark of our Kenpo year, especially in terms of physical training. It is a weekend of spirited training, mental stimulation, and philosophical affirmation. I invite you all to come and join in on the fun and fulfillment of our Training Camp.
