As our war against terrorism proceeds, it is important to acknowledge those soldiers among our Kenpo family who are performing honorable and courageous duty for our freedom and our country. One is Scott Montoya, a 5th Degree Black Belt under Paul Dye. We had the pleasure of his presence at our recent camp. Recently called up to active duty, this Marine will join his comrades in fighting terrorism, possibly in Afghanistan to relieve American soldiers already stationed in this volatile region. There are other students who are possibly serving and have been called up to active duty.
We have faith in them as citizen soldiers, knowing that their Kenpo holds them in good stead as disciplined, trained warriors. We wish Mr. Montoya and our fellow comrades a safe journey. We hope for their safe return to the Land of the Free.
